Peyton Manning to Miami: Nah...didn't think so

Peyton Manning
So...

So where do you think Peyton Manning is going to "TRY" and play football next season? Denver? Arizona? Miami? None of the above?

Well, contrary to the hopes of the Miami Dolphins and their legions of fans (me included), it doesn't look like he'll be taking his talents to South Beach.

Manning has apparently seen and/or heard what he wanted to over the weekend in visits to Denver and to the Cardinals facility in Phoenix.

Well...either that or he doesn't want any part of the Fins and owner Steve Ross.

The area papers are still convinced he's coming. Read this story from the Ft. Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel RIGHT HERE

Any way you slice it, we still think whomever wins the Manning auction is going to be in for a bit of a letdown. It's amazing that nobody has requested he throw for them....unless he has already done so informally.

As much as we'd like to see Peyton in Miami Aqua and White, we have deep concerns that he'd be a return to the end of the Dan Marino era when they struggled to do just about anything.

No, we feel, and feel strongly that Peyton Manning will be a decent...not great...quarterback...wait for it...in Denver where he gives John Elway the excuse to make the Tebow experiment go away. Dude is 36-plus years, coming off of his 4th neck surgery and didn't play last year...at all. He's not going to be the Peyton Manning of 2006. Not gonna happen.

Really...quite honestly...we hope Peyton sticks to his word...and makes this season big "Off-Season" discussion go away too.
