OSG High: Oregon Golfer Denied 4-Peat By DQ

((HT: PrepRally/KVAL-TV))

Cam Smith over at Yahoo!Sports led us to this one...

Caroline Inglis could have set history in Oregon high school golf by being the first golfer to win four straight state titles. All she had to do was sign a correct scorecard after she completed a second-round 69 to finish 2-under par after 36 holes.

The Eugene-Churchill senior signed a scorecard that had one of her playing partners give her a par on her 18th hole instead of the bogey she really got. Since the tournament was played under USGA rules, that's an automatic DQ...

Here's how KVAL covered the story...

And here's Alex Drude's version over at KMTR-TV
