Boise State Survives At New Mexico 32-29

The past few years the New Mexico Lobos has been the butt of many jokes here at the OSG HQ and the poster child as to how to ruin a football program.
Well the Lobos almost had the last laugh Saturday in Albuquerque against the mighty Boise State Broncos.

Boise State ran off 25 unanswered points in the first half and it looked it another blow out at UMN’s expense.
Well things have changed in Lobo-land.  New Mexico took advantage of a pair of Bronco turnovers and turned those into touchdowns.  Then the Boise State defense couldn’t figure out New Mexico’s triple option offense directed by Lobo quarterback Cole Gautsche.

Gautsche led UNM to four touchdowns but Boise State’s first half roar lingered to hold on over the Lobos 32-29.
Here’s a game report. (Thanks KTVB, Boise, ID)
