Bad Luck: Oklahoma HS Kid Scores Game Winner For Opponent (now with Video)

Okay, so the title may or may not make sense, but it's a very unfortunate story that the kid feels horrible about.

Thursday night, Millwood High School in Oklahoma got a state playoff win over Hugo High when Hugo's Trey Johnson inexplicably drove for a layup at Millwood's basket with 2 seconds left in the game. And yes, Millwood got credit for the hoop, which gave them the 38-37 win.

Unfortunately, all Johnson had needed to do was dribble out the last 2-seconds of the game. He didn't. And according to those in attendance, after it happened, you could have heard a pin drop in the arena.

We really feel sorry for the kid and realize this is a moment he'll never live down and never be able to take back.

Thankfully for him, as of right now, there isn't any actual video of what happened. And yes, while you might consider it cruel, we did and are still looking.

Update: The video has been found: Sorry Trey, it's the only way to effectively tell the story.
