Which is exactly what happened to the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets Thursday night. The Jackets clinched a berth in the conference title game vs. Florida State after North Carolina beat Duke 45-20.
Tar Heels QB Marquise Williams threw for 276 yards and 2 TD's, and ran for 98 yards and 2 more scores to lead the 6-5, 4-3 in the ACC Heels to the win.
Duke was ranked #25 in the country and all they needed to do was win the game at home to clinch their title shot.
They couldn't do it.
The loss drops the Blue Devils to 8-3, 4-3 in the ACC, but they'll get a bowl game this season, so there is that.
